Chairman John McCormick presents £5000 cheque to Rosie Quinn Fund Raising Manager Cancer Research UK Scotland at the 2006 Annual Dinner Dance held in the Hilton, Glasgow Friday 10th November
Money is mainly raised through raffles at our functions and lunches. The major fund raising event of each year is the Grand Charity Raffle drawn at our Annual Dinner Dance which is held in the Hilton Glasgow every November.
We have always been very indebted to our friends from the Whisky & Spirits industry, Airlines, Travel agents, Ferry operators and indeed our own members companies for their generosity and donations of prizes to our raffles. Without this support and kindness we couldn’t manage to donate monies and support worthwhile and needy charities every year.
The Glasgow Freight Club would not be in a position to aid charities without the very kind donations from members companies who have helped over many years. In addition the following companies from within the distilling and beverage industry and the travel trade have been more than generous with gifts and donations for the Grand Charity Raffle which is held every year at our Annual Dinner Dance: |
